EC4 Composite is the outcome of a major research project, which was succesfully accomplished by CCS.
EC4 Composite fully exploits the benefits of composite construction, since it incorporates advanced design methods of Eurocode 4, such as:
Concrete cracking under tension.
Elastic or plastic design of beams and shear studs.
Creep and shrinkage of concrete.
Analysis and design at construction and composite stages.
EC4 Composite presents a unique benefit: it is the only software in its category that it does not make any compromise in the application of Eurocode 4, avoiding any simplification.
The cracked concrete areas are accurately calculated and redistribution of internal forces is performed accordingly. In the elastic or plastic design of cross section, stresses redistribution due to the effective properties in class 4 sections are taken into account. Temporary props are considered during construction stage and automatically excluded during composite stage, simulating exactly the construction process.
